As I had said before in the Eiffel Tower section I had the honor to be in Paris on the 14th of July a very important date for all country, their Independence Day. I felt really excited to discover the way French people celebrate their Independence Day. See the similarities of how the 4th of July and 15 de Septiembre has with their celebration. We started by going to the 14th of July parade where many solders and people participated in it. Also having many airplane fly around the city with France flag’s colors, and parachutes. Parisians seemed very excited by this celebration, which made me feel excited too. Then we heard of the big fireworks celebration, which takes place in front of the Eiffel Tower. So we went to get some stuff the will help us survive the ten hours we would be there waiting for the amazing show. You may ask why we decided to go camping ten hours before, well we where told that it was going to be really crowded and if we wanted good spots we should go early and stay there. At first I didn’t believe it, but late convince by my friends I decided to go. I couldn’t of made a better decision I could say I was one of the best shows I have seen in my life. The ten hours of waiting under the sun where so worth it. First a very famous orchestra played and then came the show. There was many fireworks, and lighting from the Eiffel Tower I was astonished that night. The firework celebration reminded me of the 4th of July, and 15 de Septiembre fireworks. Mostly of 15 de Septiembre there where many similarities the parade, solders, military and fireworks in a national monument. I don’t believe is a anachronistic way how is celebrated. I think every nation has their own way of celebrating their own Independence Day, and France has a very beautiful celebration. I didn’t have the opportunity to go to the Arc de Triomphe during the Independence Day, but I had fortune of visiting the day before. This monument is a representation of the liberty people gained. Honoring those solders that fought for that liberty giving up their life for the country. In the inside of the columns there are names of the solders that fought and where killed. I was really impressed by Paris way of making awareness of Earth’s gift. Even though I totally agree it’s very important to celebrate Earth as a reminder to the people, but I believe that it’s okay to celebrate ones country. That way we can celebrate and honor all those people who fought, died, and struggle to gain the independence of the country.
